HOA LU – TRANG AN 1 DAY
07.30 – 08.30: Tour guide pick you up at suggested places and depart for Ninh Binh province (100km south of Hanoi). Have a break 20 minutes en-route to free your legs.
11.20: On arrival at Hoa Lu, stop at a place to get your bikes and start a wonderful biking tour. Visit temples delicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang (923-979) and Le Dai Hanh (941-1005). Tour guide give you an introduction of Vietnam history in 10thcentury.
12.20: Continue cycling around the villages, take pictures of typical rural villages and the stunning landscapes of Vietnam.
12.40: Have lunch in a restaurant which serves some special dishes such as goat meat, pork storage vessel…
13.30: Bus transfer to Trang An. You will be amazed by neglected area while having a boat trip through cave chains: Sang cave, Toi cave, Ba Giot cave, Sinh cave…experiencing mysterious views of the so-called “Halong Bay on the land”.
18.00: Arrival in Hanoi. Tour ends.
Hoa Lu is the relics of the ancient capital Hoa Lu – the remains are the temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the two heroes who lived in 10th century and chose Hoa Lu to build the citadel of this ancient capital city. From time to time, archaeologists have excavated buried parts of this citadel with rusty weapons and ceramics. The temples are said to be built on the old foundation of their original palaces in 11-12th centuries and restored in 17th century.
Trang An grottoes which is a gathering of 31 valleys, 50 cross-water caves, and home to 600 kinds of flora and over 200 kinds of fauna, many of them in the Red Book of Vietnam.
