HANOI – HO CHI MINH CITY 8 DAYS/ 7 NIGHTS

Day 1: Arrival in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City)

Upon arrival to Saigon airport, after clearing custom, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver and transfer to hotel, approximately a 30-minute drive from the airport.
Check into a good 3-star hotel.
The afternoon is at leisure to recover from the long trip.

Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels – Ho Chi Minh city tour

In The Morning : Cu Chi Tunnels

    8.30 am. Depart from your hotel or our office to Cu Chi Tunnels РHo Chi Minh city tour 1 day.

  • Firstly, excursion¬†Cu Chi Tunnels;¬†an underground tunnels network constructed by¬†Vietnamese¬†fighters during the struggle for independence. It took about¬†25 years¬†to build this underground city, which has¬†living rooms,¬†kitchens,¬†hospitals,¬†weapon factories, storage facilities and command centre.¬†The tunnel system¬†was an excellent way for the¬†Vietcong¬†to move around the countryside undetected by¬†the Americans¬†and¬†home to around 10,000 people¬†who lived underground for several years.
  • Before we go underground, we watch a short introductory video showing how¬†the tunnels were constructed. We then spend the next hour exploring¬†the maze of tunnels. Also on display are various mantraps and¬†the remains¬†of an¬†American tank¬†as well as numerous bomb craters made by¬†500 pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers.
  • Have lunch at the restaurant, then we drive back to¬†Ho Chi Minh City¬†arriving at approximately¬†14.00pm.

In The Afternoon: Visit Ho Chi Minh City

  • Secondly,¬†Notre Dame Cathedral¬†: Located in the heart of the city and it was built by the French in the late¬†1877s.¬†Notre Dame is not just a the oldest Christian church of Vietnam but also a unique and excellent architecture of Saigon.
  • Thirdly,¬†General Post Office¬†(Designed by Gustav Eiffel, the Post Office is a testament to the French presence in the late¬†1800s. The look and feel of this grand building is like an elegant railway station.
  • Fourthly, you’ll then be driven to visit the¬†Jade Emperor¬†Temple. It‚Äôs one of the best¬†Taoist temples¬†in Vietnam, with superb effigies,¬†remarkable carved panels¬†of the descent to Hell and some what incongruous terrapin and¬†tortoise sanctuaries. You can choose to visit¬†Jade Emperor Temple¬†or¬†War Museum¬†or¬†Reunification Palace.
  • Fifthly, then you‚Äôll have approximately two hour to visit¬†Ben Thanh market, one of the liveliest areas of¬†Ho Chi Minh City, is packed with every concievable commodity and a visit to¬†lacquer workshop¬†to see¬†the complex processes¬†and meticulous workmanship involved in this traditional¬†Vietnamese¬†craft product.

Day 3: Mekong Delta full day tour

This Morning is Cai Be Floating Market Tour.

  • 07.30am: this morning we will start to visit¬†one day¬†Mekong Delta tour¬†(Cai Be – Vinh Long)¬†around 3 hrs driving. On¬†our dedicated bus/car you can see the¬†green paddy fields¬†stretching towards the horizontal.
  • 10.30am: Arrive in¬†Cai Be, you‚Äôll board a motorized boat that takes you to the¬†small floating market¬†and spend time there for an interaction that you‚Äôll see no where else in the world.
  • Next, then on foot to reach a¬†coconut candy, a crispy rice cake factories¬†(served free with premium hot tea)¬†and you might buy coconut candy and handcrafted items from coconut trees of¬†Mekong Delta¬†for souvenir.
  • When you feel it’s enough for the serenity, let’s get back to the large motor boat for something different in Tan Phong Island. It is well-known fresh fruits whole year. On the way, we have a chance to look the sightseeing 2 long sides river and find out the life of rural people in¬†Mekong Delta.
  • The time now should be around 12 noon. Time for lunch! Let’s go to the local people’s house for that (in the seasonable fruits garden).

Afternoon tour is Vinh Long City.

  • After the rest, we are divided into many small groups and get on small row boats. During this 20 minutes trip, your boat will zigzag through a maze of shadow canals to enjoy the fresh air along the canal and wonderful water coconut tree landscape. Taking a break and roaming through a village about 20 minutes to visit our natural view with quiet and peaceful villages or we can relax on a hammock for a short rest in¬†Mekong Delta.
  • The next stop is Vinh Long City from Island, we will land on a marketplace and walk around to have a good opportunity for seeing how and what the poor rural people of Vietnam sell in Vinh Long City. You are encouraged to interact with the merchants and see how loving and respectful they are. It takes about ¬Ĺ hr here to find a lot of interesting things for little amount of money.
  • The stop will be brief, ensuring that we come back to SG¬†before 7 PM.
20.00pm Transfer to the airport for boarding a flight to Hanoi. Upon arrive to Hanoi, being personally welcome by Hanoi tour guide and transfer to hotel for check in.

Day 4: Hanoi City Tour

07.45 ‚Äď 08.30:¬†Get picked up by our tour guide and bus. After short drive, start visiting first place named¬†Tran Quoc Pagoda, a Buddhist relic and national heritage lying on the¬†West Lake.

09.00: Visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the final resting place of Vietnam’s greatest father, walking along Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house where he lived and worked from 1958 to 1969.

10.00:¬†Visit¬†One-Pillar Pagoda¬†‚Äď the one modeled after a lotus flower, a symbol of Hanoi city.

11.00: Visit the colorful features of the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam in the Ethnology Museum.

13.00: Bus takes you to a local restaurant in Hanoi Old Quarter, have a rest and enjoy the lunch.

14.00: Visit Temple of Literature, the most famous temple situated in Hanoi, also functioned as Vietnam’s first university. It was first constructed in 1070 under King Ly Nhan Tong and dedicated to Confucius, sages and scholars. A vast structure that has existed to present day.

15.30: Drive to legendary Hoan Kiem Lake, visit Ngoc Son Temple dedicated to Van Xuong saint and former general commander Tran Hung Dao for his struggle against Mongolians. You also see the beautiful Vietnamese and French architecture around the lake.

16.00: Arrive back to your hotel.

Day 5: Hanoi РHalong Bay 

07.30 ‚Äď 08.30: Our tour guide and bus pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi old quarter.

08.30: Departure to Halong Bay for 3.5 hours.

10.00: Arrive in Hai Duong province, and have 20 minute short break.

12.00: Arrive to Tuan Chau harbor, 12.15 Welcome to Rosa Cruise and Enjoy Welcome drink. Get a brief introduction about cruise and safety guidelines. Check-in your cabin.

12.30: Enjoy Vietnamese seafood and vegetarian lunch, while cruising in the magnificent Halong Bay, admiring the fascinating rock formations in the bay.

14.30: Take rowing boat through the village or kayaking to visiting around the floating fishing village.

16.00: Visiting Halong Pearl Farm Village, and Swimming in the bay.

17.30: Come back to our Rosa Cruise and relax.

18.00: Join cooking class guided directly by Chef of Halong Rosa Cruise. You have chance to practice Vietnamese traditional dishes such as spring roll or famous cuisine of Vietnam.

19.30: Time for dinner enjoying special food on the cruise.

21.00: Evening entertainments: play game on the cruise: cards game, chess, karaoke, squid fishing, and overnight on the Rosa Cruise.

Day 6: Halong Bay – Hanoi

06.30: Early morning sun risers can enjoy Tai Chi lesson on sundeck.

07.00: Morning view of bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee. Have breakfast.

08.00: Arrive Sung Sot Cave (Amazing Cave) and joining with guide to visiting and explore the cave.

10.00: Check-out and enjoy a fantastic cruise on the bay.

11.00: Enjoy the lunch on cruise.

12.00: Rosa Cruise are landing Halong Bay harbor, tourist say goodbye to sailors and finish the cruise.

12.30: Return to Hanoi by shuttle bus.

14.30: Stopover in Hai Duong province to visit a ceramics workshop.

16.00 ‚Äď 16.30: ¬†Arrive in Hanoi end your trip.

Day 7: Hoa Lu- Tam Coc 

Breakfast at the hotel.

07:30 ‚Äď 08:30¬†Get picked up by our tour guide and bus then depart for¬†Ninh Binh province¬†(90 km south of Hanoi). Have a break 20 minutes half way to relax and experience Vietnamese handicraft products such as lacquer wares, paintings, embroideries‚Ķ

10:30 Arrive at Hoa Lu, which is once depicted the ancient capital of Viet Nam, settled up in the 10th century.

11:00 Visit temples of two dynasties of Dinh and Le with a very unique architectures in the old time.

11:30 Visit the excavation area beside the Le Dai Hanh temple. You experience the vestiges of Royal Palaces ground dated back 10th century. Go back to the bus and drive to Tam Coc.

12.30 Lunch in restaurant.

14:00¬†Board the sampan boats (2 people share a boat) in¬†Tam Coc¬†dock to drift down the river among the villages, mountains and lush rice fields. Passing through¬†3 caves¬†‚ÄúHang Ca ‚Äď First cave, Hang Hai -Second cave, Hang Ba ‚Äď Third cave‚ÄĚ to get a strange feeling. Boat returns to the dock for bus drive back to¬†Hanoi.

18:00 Arrive in Hanoi.

Day 8: Hanoi departure
